This page explains what data this site collects and why. It is written to be read rather than to be legally impressive; if you need a formal statement for a compliance file, please get in touch.
What we collect
Analytics. If analytics is enabled, we use Google Analytics 4 with IP anonymisation switched on, to understand which pages are used and which are not. Advertising personalisation signals are off by default. We do not use analytics data to identify individuals.
Advertising. This site carries advertising supplied by Google AdSense. Google and its partners may set cookies and use them to serve advertising. You can review and change your advertising settings through Google Ads Settings.
Your calculator inputs. The numbers you type into a calculator are processed in your browser and are not sent to us or stored on our servers.
Your comparison shortlist. Models you add to the comparison builder are held in your browser’s session storage so that your shortlist survives navigating between pages. It is cleared when you close the tab and is never sent to us.
Server logs. Our host keeps standard web server logs, including IP addresses, for security and troubleshooting.
What we do not do
We do not sell personal data, we do not operate a newsletter or maintain a mailing list, and we do not require an account to use any part of the site.
Your choices
You can block cookies in your browser and the site will continue to work: search, comparisons and calculators do not depend on them.
